A combination of the best of Nordic melodic death metal and Italian gothic metal is heading to Roxy! The Halo Effect, a lineup of genre legends, Lacuna Coil with their charismatic vocal duel, and Finnish atmosphere-makers Omnium Gatherum will showcase the European metal spirit in its most dynamic form.
The Halo Effect isn’t just a project by veterans; it’s a return to the canon they themselves helped write in Gothenburg in the 1990s. The lineup, led by Mikael Stanne and Jesper Strömblad, takes the essence of melodic death metal and dusts it off. Their sound is focused, layered with guitars, and uncompromisingly melodic. No experimentation for experimentation’s sake, just pure craftsmanship from the people who defined this style and are now perfecting it within a modern production framework.
