On one hand, he’s a prodigious talent widely considered one of the greatest bass players on the planet; on the other, his singular artistry has racked up over 3.3 billion streams. He’s an artist who can win the Miles Davis Award at the Montreal Jazz Festival for his contribution to jazz, while also crafting songs that resurface again and again on TikTok — with “Funny Thing”, “Dragonball Durag” and “Them Changes” recently sparking 7 billion views and over 3 million creations, propelling the latter back into the Billboard charts and onto Shazam charts across 30 countries.
