Concert by Fource

He is one of the most active musicians on the scene, but he has never played here before. The leading personality of the new wave of American psychedelia debuted in 2008 and will bring his fifteenth album to Prague. On Three Bells he collaborated with his wife Denée Segall and returns to pure rock'n'roll.

The first Prague concert of the iconic Californian musician will take place at the Roxy club on 17 June 2024. Tickets priced at 690 crowns will be on sale from 14 December 2023 at fource.cz and in the GoOut and Ticketmaster networks, and a day earlier, pre-sales for registered Fource Friends users* will start on the Fource website.

Ty Segall has always looked to older bands for inspiration. The more traditional lo-fi rock 'n' roll sound and old-school reverbs nodded to the sixties of The Sonics or The Standells and the punk of The Stooges. On his other projects, he wasn't afraid to explore his softer side or record an album full of covers of his T-Rex favourites. The garage sound and rawness of his early work was likened by the media of the time to The Strokes or The White Stripes.

The last two recordings introduced Segall in an unexpected position, a homemade album, Hello, Hi, on which he recorded all the instruments himself, followed by the soundtrack to the film Whirlybird. Three Bells follows his project The C.I.A., which he founded with his wife, Denée Segall. Together with her, he recorded a total of five tracks, with the rest of the songs being recorded with the help of members of his touring band, the Freedom Band. The rawer sound is evident on all three singles released. The album will be released on Drag City at the end of January 2024, a few months after which we will see Segall's Czech concert premiere.
