Affordable Hybrid is a four-piece act formed 2003 in Vänersborg, Sweden. After some line-up changes and a change of musical direction the band found the sound that they were looking for. It can be described as a mix of postpunk and hardcore, in the veins of bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Fugazi and At the Drive-in. In late 2004 Affordable Hybrid recorded their CDEP "Maladroit Missile" that was later to be released on the small, independent label Gunsmoke Records.

This release was followed by gigs all over Sweden and the borders to Germany, Denmark and Norway were also crossed. During spring and summer of 2007 the band’s debut album was recorded by Dieter Schöön at Lablaza Studios, Gothenburg. The record is called "The Snake Was a Mistake" and the tour that followed "The Snake Tour". Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland all had a visit from the snake and now it’s time for Sweden and the rest of the world to see what the great lable, Tell Me That You Love Me, and Affordable Hybrid have been working on for the last six months.
